I won't lie, baneslayer is way better, but almost everything looks bad next to baneslayer. Comparing this to baneslayer is like holding up a flashlight next to the sun and saying " huh which is brighter?" That doesn't necessarily mean that the flashlight sucks. I like the seraph of the dawn even next to baneslayer anyway because it's just a good low mana cost creature.

4 for 2/4 flyer isnt that bad and the lifelink is just an icing. for a cheap common is a very decent card. nuff said there

This is a common kill card in my friend's {B} {W} standard exalted deck, what with having lifelink and what not. Yeah, it's exalted, perhaps not the best mechanic in the game, but being black and white means control can supplement the slow aggro.

She's actually quite great. An evasive creature with high toughness that can gain you life. Very good Limited card with beautiful artwork.
5/5. The card itself 3.5/5. Add the art and it really deserves 5 stars :)

Easily the best white common in the set. I could see this being an occasional first pick in a draft. 5/5.

Comparing this to Baneslayer is folly. Yes, Baneslayer is much better at more mana, but not everyone has $30+ laying around to get a set of them. This is something that any player has easy access to and that will impact the board at most levels of competition.
