Certainly the best COP, although a little less than Greater Realm of Preservation in my opinion.

Classic sideboard card. Annoying red players since when, 1993?

The most useful of the COP cycle, Burrenton Forge-Tender has now taken this slot in white decks...

This and black are the most annoying COPs - when I see a red/white deck drop this or a black/white deck drop the black one I unload immediately before Pyrohemia, Pestilence or whatever other trick they have up their sleeve hits the table.

An invisible force field preventing enemy lightning bolts hitting your face.

I give this card a 5/5. "Why?" you ask. Is it because of its power? No. Is it because of its artwork? No. Is it because I'm a "Circle of Protection" homer? No. It is because the wrong artist is given credit on the card. Poor Mark Tedin... no respect.

Probably not surprising that this is the highest rated of the circles, and I can only imagine how utterly frustrating this would be to face if you ran a burn deck back then.
All that work setting up mana flares and tons of land and sending a 20 damage fireball, only to have the smug little jerk tap one land and say no.
At least with a horde of monsters, it will push their mana a bit more.
