Almost strictly better than thunder spirit due to the less restricting mana cost and the fact that first strike does a good deal of negating the one less toughness (but not completely due to geistflame and company). Much more flavorful though. Thunder Spirit is one of those cards that I never really understood why it's so expensive.

This guy is pretty deadly in limited! Love the art <3!! Artists did such an awesome job with white spirits this set.

Had one of these in the pre-release and managed to drop it turn 3 several times. Highly annoying! There's not going to be many flyers around, and therefore the first strike becomes quite deadly, especially if you pump his power with some equipment.

Spirits are back, and better than ever! I'm thinking they'll get more tribal support in Dark Ascension.

Compare to Lantern Kami, one more for a point of power, one for first strike, or maybe it is 3/4, 3/4, and 1/2 for the cool art. Reminds of something from "A Christmas Carol"

After seeing this in action in limited, I regret letting the second one pass me by. Brutal in Red/White with Rally the Peasants on attack or defense (yay first strike!). But hey, I won the tournament, and a huge amount of the damage was dealt by my lone voiceless Spirit.
