I love the artwork, the flash is a nice touch as is the ability of potential board wipe. My only problem is that this guy is only a 5/5. If you're point in the artwork is to make the creature look bigger than the average dragon than shouldn't it be at least a 6/6? Other than that great card.

Just wanted to point out the similarities between this and Angel of Salvation. Except the Angel has convoke, which I would expect, since dealing damage is almost always better than preventing it.

Yet another superb piece of art by Wayne Reynolds, although I did love the original art too.
Definitely one of the best parts of the dual deck.

Awesome new artwork! The original artwork was good enough, but this new artwork is just phenomenal!

I must say the art is badass 5/5 for art alone.

I love this in my Intet, the Dreamer EDH/ Commander deck along with a kicked Rite of Replication. 25 damage to an opponent's face/ take out multiple fatties/ destroy armies of tokens.
Plus I love this art way more than the original for an Intet deck. This art makes the Hellkite less monstrous and far smexier, like he's the head bull of her harem.

I dunno. I like Wayne Reynolds' art, and I don't mind this piece...but I liked the other art better. It conveyed "I am a titan among dragons" a lot better; this guy doesn't look any bigger or badder than the next dragon.

Might not look spectacular at first glance, from a mathematical standpoint, but this is a beautiful and destructive late game bomb in casual play, particularly in red mana ramp decks. It isn't its raw power, but rather its usability and versatility that make it good - it can be flashed in to wipe out attackers, or throw its 5 damage at an opponent and attack on the next turn for a finisher in a burn deck. It's carried me to many victories.

Ditto on the sharp art. I found the old one a bit goofy. (pours libations to Reynolds)
