This is one of the scarier cards in recent memory for Limited. The possibility of hitting your opponent and slowing him down in a damage race by blasting his creatures too, is just great. This card deserves those three red mana symbols.

If blocked, it usually kills a creature.
If unblocked, it usually kills a creature (besides damaging opponent).
I have seen dragons much much worse tahn this one.

I very much agree. I wanted this ever since I saw it announced, and it completely fits a dragon deck. Also kicks butt with Crucible of Fire.
