Because if they made a Legends collection and didn't put the Legend-tutor into it, that'd just be silly.

In fact, most of the legends in this set would be great generals. With this coming out so soon after the Commander preconstructeds, I think they're trying to tell us something.

This card is just plain silly in EDH/Commander. This is a reusable tutor turn after turn. Combine with Thousand-Year Elixir or even Seedborn Muse if you want to milk her ability even further. Just to name a few cards you can search for: Kaldra equipment, Umezawa's Jitte, Mindslaver, Iona, Shield of Emeria, Gaea's Cradle, Kamahl, Fist of Krosa , Akroma, Angel of Wrath, or even some Eldrazi if you wanted. The deck practically makes itself!

The beauty of her as a commander is that you can load your deck up with situational cards without screwing yourself over. You'll always have the perfect answer to everything.

Just to add one newcomer to MisterAction's list of situational legendary cards to tutor up: Sigarda.
Using her as your General, you can quite easilly swap some commanders in and out in-between games. Not what I would prefer, but whatever floats your boat.
