I like the new art. It is actually really badass. The thing is, the old art portrayed a mysterious, godlike strength held by so few in the magic universe. Here, you can sort of see the monster, but in the old one, all you knew was that it was a giant *** hydra rearing back to strike. I don't know, the old art might have been my favorite art ever. It was obvious just from the old art that it was one of the most powerful monsters ever, which I liked.

Better than the Eldrazi. Sometimes. Maybe not. I don't know. Rafiq of the many is better. I can win the turn I get him out in my EDH deck. He is a great commander, especially if you get something like Finest Hour or Sovereigns of lost alara. Don't ask me why I'm commenting about Rafiq on Progenitus, I just am.

A humorous EDH captain, you'll basically be playing a five color singleton with the looming threat of this thing on the horizon. I am very much not a fan of the new art. Nothing against Mike, but this just doesn't have the same sense of majesty.
I also really wish it didn't have that second ability, it would make the card so much more elegant! However, this would also possibly be the worst thing ever to face turn 1 or 2 in a reanimator deck, so I understand the fear.

Love the rules text.. If he would be put imto a graveyard, REVEAL him.. Just hold up the card and say "Progenitus B*TCH!") and every one will quiver for a moment, then shuffle him into your lib.. lol. Not like revealing him is THAT necessary, everyone's eyes in the game including your own 2 since you drew into him, have been fixed on him since he hit the table!
