Well the old art is better, this art is pretty epic, Progentus is a bad ass card that hits the table with a rather large thud, shame he dies to wrath effects, but otherwise hed be busted.

Exactly! The art was absolutely beautiful for that reason. Seeing the hydra towering into the sky, heads above the clouds and body obscured in the mist; a creature so grand that it cannot be seen in its full glory.

Jaime Jones has always done such an amazing job capturing the sheer epic scale of many cards in MTG with the use of atmosphere and lighting.

I was happy to see Progenitus on one of the loading screens while playing Duels 2013.

I'm building an EDH deck with this card as my Commander. With Chromatic Lantern and Fist of Suns. As you might guess, I cast Progenitus really early...

Without a doubt one of the most misunderstood creatures due to it's ability but it serves as a good point of discussion to teach players what "Protection" does (and more importantly can't do.) Getting one of these out with an Elvish Piper is pretty satisfying.

This card is EPIC, i'm making a deck around it, but I don't know why everyone hates the new art, I agree the first artwork looked better, but this one looks pretty awesome too!

Why clone, just use Phantasmal Image it's half the cost and can't be targeted anyway
