I run this in my burn deck with Chandra's Spitfire and KilnFiend for casual games, and that deck runs phenomenally.

In a casual game against a friend, I used one of this with a Scroll Thief with Curiosity and 2 Jace's Erasures (plus a Curse of the Bloody Tome. Yes, I was a little mill-happy...). There are now 3 of these little miracle-workers in my infect deck. Quite lethal...

Kiln fiend best friend .
See , you play this ability BEFORE you power up kiln fiend and THEN you cast a few lightning bolts or other spells ,powering him up. As long as this guy is on the field , and you have some spells in your hand , your kiln fiend is DEADLY . Imagine doing 4-10 + damage a TURN with COMMON CARDS !Hilarious RDW for causal or extended .

I think people underrate this little guy. Him, plus any goblin, and add in things like a trepanation blade, quest for pure flame (after it's built up which isn't hard to do with goblins), beef it up with a ghitu war cry, and end it with a fling. I've personally hit someone with 80+ points of unblockable damage from one goblin thanks to my tunneler. My friends know, so he gets killed immediately when i play him nowadays.
