The eagle's crap probably isn't as crappy as the actual card.

Ugh, Prophecy. It had some cool stuff, like the Avatar cycle, the Wind cycle, and the legendary spellshapers, as well as gems like Rhystic Study and Foil. However, building most of the set on the idea of SACRIFICING LAND is not a great way to get players on board, especially with terrible creatures like this one.

Because setting myself back a turn is worth it to save a 2/1 flier.
Terrible card.

Storm Crow, memes aside, is not a bad card. It's often described as average, but a 1/2 two-drop with flying is quite efficient by traditional blue standards.
This costs twice the mana as Storm Crow and isn't a significant upgrade. Even in blue, hopefully you're playing something better than a 2/1 bird with a land-sack self-bounce. Now, if it was "sack a land = bounce target creature" then we're talking about something that would make an impact in the mid/late game. They still print Unsummon for a reason. All this thing does is allow you to bring it back to pay too much mana for it all over again.

Makes you wonder why everyone is so excited about Storm Crow being a bad card. In many respects, this card is at least as bad, if not worse.

Much as I hate to add to this meme, I'd say this is absolutely worse than Storm Crow.
