Still one of my favorites. Traded my Marton Stromgald for one way back when. Even with the game changing around it this thing has managed to be a gamebreaker since day 1.
And the art is undeniably cool on every level.

This card always makes me nostalgic. When I was like 10, my best friends bigger brother introduced my friend and me to Magic. We learned the rules and made some crappy decks (I think I had Kavu deck...oh god) and played for the lulz. But then one day the older brother brought a friend of his to the game, and he was a serious pro. At least we thought so, I still remember when he showed me this card. I couldn't believe it, it was the coolest thing I had ever seen. I managed to talk him into trading me one (I'm sure he had multiples) and it's been one of my favorites ever since.

This is always going to be a legend. Whoever played when it was out can remember how dreadful it was.

Great artwork, great black creature. If this has a place in your deck put it in there.

whats the artists name again?
I have this card and it owns the hell out of anyone who plays me. Only downside is, because im so inpatiant, i often just play it for its large cost with 2-4 dark rituals

Both comments made me laugh. You could call me sardonic.
