Not true. You can redirect damage to planeswalkers:
-If it's not combat damage
-If you control the source of the damage
-You don't control the Planeswalker
Those are the restrictions; none of which have anything to do with targeting. Here's one of the *many* threads on the topic:

Because nothing is a more fitting conclusion to a 2-hour game than a 5-way draw!!!

I'm sure everything has been said about Earthquake in the past but hey, if you're playing big angry flying dragons then this card is so freakin' good it hurts.

@lorendorky There are more printings with more comments then just this printing.

In the right kind of deck, this can consistently become one-sided wrath.

The bane of Planeswalkers and Pokemon Trainers everywhere.
By Planeswalkers I mean the players themselves and not the cards... Just thought I'd clear that up :P

@missle-toe
Unfortunately, this can't hit planeswalkers. You can only transfer damage to a planeswalker if you're targeting a player with it; any damage that says "each player" can't do anything to a PW.

My question is why are there so little comments about this card? Pure creature AND player OR planeswalke damage. Pure potential
