Play this on Anowon, the Ruin Sage. Follow up with a next turn Call to the Grave for maximum evil.

@tcollins: Sorry, but the creature type shapeshifter doesn't make the creature all creature types, rather, the ability Changeling does, like what Cairn Wanderer has.

This card has great synergy and flavor for my Lim-Dul EDH. One game, the group was mad at me for having Lim out with an Avatar of Woe (someone else's Lim-zombied ftw) equiped with a Thornbite Staff smashing their fields, with Lim-Dul to grab their creatures up. They couldn't get rid of the Staff or Avatar at the time, so they kept trying to kill my poor necromancer, and had gotten him a couple times. Fortunately topdecked this nice fellow, and got to troll them with a "Shoot, now I've gotta pay 11 mana to bring out Lim again... nah, I leave him in the graveyard." Rise from the Grave next turn, "there, now hes a zombie too, you big meanies! Now, die already please."

Beyond that, it is overall a nice option to bring into most multiplayer games, although depend... (see all)

@karen_bobby: No, the enchantments stay in the graveyard.

Synergy with Call to the Grave, and shapeshifter creatures such as Phyrexian Metamorph, since it is considered to have the Zombie subtype.

I'll be honest, I'm knew to the Magic game. Can somebody tell me what it means that the creature comes back as a "zombie" creature? Does being a "zombie" give it any kind of new abilities or weaknesses?

@actuary: this gives the creature a new subtype. For example, if you played it on a Flayer of the Hatebound it comes deck as a "Zombie Devil" instead of just "Devil". That doesn't give it any abilities by itself, but it changes the way it interacts with cards like Cemetery Reaper and Undead Slayer.

By the way, have I mentioned that the aforementioned Flayer of the hatebound is lots of fun with this?
