A more fair version of Rancor, I think. The tokens are also nice, especially if you run this with something like Mycoloth.

Throwing this on Ghave is one of the best plays you can make in his Precon.

imo, a pretty good card. 2 cmc for 2 1/1s by itself is a pretty good deal, which is sweetened by the trampling effect. I don't know if I'd run it if I were building a token generating deck, since nothing I can think of that would fit in the deck would be big enough to deserve trample.

My business is with Urz-engard tonight. With rock and stone, with metal and wheels. We go now, probably to our doom. The Last March of the Ents.

this card is in the "Duels of the Planeswalker" xbox game (Auramancer deck). If you're in a pinch with no creatures out, toss this on your opponent's 1/1 creature to get yourself 2 1/1s.

@Totema
Yeah you could certainly compare this to Rancor. This and Rancor give +2 power and trample, but rancor keeps on coming back, and only costs . Apples and Oranges though, this combos well with stuff like Glorious Anthem.

Great if you need a lot of permanents for a little bit of mana. Nullify a turn of your cranked-up Smokestack for one card!

No worse than dragon fodder, and it gives some of the big trampleless dudes a recourse. Scion of the Wild is fun with this.

maybe im spoiled, but I like rancor better. I have always disliked saprolings, although I don't know why.
