I would agree that Dragonstorm is easier to cast due to the cards it's built around. Green doesn't have rituals and it's free mana doesn't come from spells. However, I would suggest Bear Umbra and a bunch of spells with this card. you cast your stuff. Tapped out, attack with bear umbra, put 3-6 4/4 beasts into play with the free untap!

Pretty good in a Rhys deck. If you left seven mana up to cast this but nobody cast as many spells as you would have liked, you can just double the tokens you do have with the wasted mana.

I would not see this is better than dragonstorm. The storm in Hunting Pack is easier to get, but the creatures dragonstorm gives you are generally going to be far superior, and as dragonstorm is one red mana in its cost, green could be splashed for a dragon deck to give it said mana excel, albeit that is not likely.

@Rikerblade: That doesn't work the way you think it does. Storm triggers when you cast the spell. When you copy the spell while it's on the stack, you don't cast the copy. You will get one additional beast, since you get one more instance of the effect, but you don't get to double the storm copies. In fact, I don't think there is a card where you get to cast the same spell twice. It wouldn't make very much sense anyways. Casting is when you pay its mana cost and it goes from being a card in your hand to being a spell on the stack.
This card is fun and cool in many ways, and seems like one of the more fair storm cards since you need to spend some effort getting to 7 mana, and mostly you're relying on your opponent to do much of the work for you.
Still, I love it when I get to respond to someone's combat trick with an extra 4/4.

This is like Dragonstorm! only, you know, playable cuz Green can ramp and dump better than than red can. and really, the difference between 7 4/4's and 7 5/5s with flying is somewhat negligible.
Although, Dragonstorm can play rather lolzy with Death by Dragons and Karrthus, Tyrant of Cheating.
