saw play in 5color control.
I remember one time it blocked a 3/3 wither and then had cryptic command counter a spell and bonce it back to hand.
you know a card is good when 5 color control wants to reuse it and not just dig.

5 color control had Vivid lands and Reflecting Pool as a mana base. They could play just about any card with the only real draw back being that their lands came into play tapped.
