I don't understand why anyone feels the need to complain about decent cards being in Commander precons. You can just switch it out for a different card if you take ten seconds.

The trap condition should not be difficult to trigger, and the effect is pretty swell for only 1 mana.
Surprise a weenie rush, ruin some Battle Criers, it's all good.
However, the hard cost is rarely practical.

I don't understand why you feel the need to copy and paste the same comment on every card. You could have typed something that was actually interesting.

Too specific. Still good though.

Andrew's Occasional Random Card of the Day #9 - 7/5/2011 - Cobra Trap
This is the kind of card I really want to like. I'm not sure why, but I tend to like Snakes in Magic, even the ones from Kamigawa block . . . kind of. You know, the Orochi. I also like creature tokens. I also like the idea of the Traps.
Things I don't like: Paying six mana for four power and having a really awkward and impossible-to-rely-on trap cost.
Cards like this really frustrate me. I want to play them so much, but they're just not good enough to even count on using in my casual decks. Recently this was printed in one of the Commander decks, and I'd like to see if anyone tries to stick with it. I played a little bit of limited during Zendikar block, and I don't remember ever seeing this spell cast. I'll keep my eye out.
As far as the possibility of me ever using this card . . . I'd really have to find a deck that synergized well enough that six mana for four 1/1s felt worth it. Perhaps with Muraganda ... (see all)

I don't really understand why they put cards like this in the decks.. They could've reprinted something that actually deserved it.

Snakes, why does it have to be snakes?

Too specific but if you know your opponent is running lots of non-creature permanent removal and they aren't playing red (Chandra's Fury and 100 other probably better red cards like it) then it could be decent.
Still only good for casual where you know your opponent/s.
