Well, uh... at least Ajani's deck has some life gain triggers? And while there are better cards in green almost certainly, at least basic landcycling for {1}{G} is playable...

I used to run one or two of these in a deck with Vengeful Rebirth. I would cycle it to fix my mana and cast a turn four Violent Ultimatum.

This card is decent in Ajani's deck. If you draw it early, then cycle it for whichever land you need. If you draw it late, use it with Ageless Entity, Ajani's Pridemate or Searing Meditation.

Dunno why this is rated so low? It can buy you an extra turn, massively buff something like Ageless Entity, and has general landcycling.
If the cost is too high for you then go with something like Heroes' Reunion.

This card is for those who like rampant growth, but wouldn't mind sacrificing some speed for some punch later on. 8 life, though situational, could be enough punch you need to win. Instant speed also makes it a nice surprise.

It's like the cycling ability is the primary use for this card, and the main effect is the secondary use.
