Surprised how little players consider Curse of the Nightly Hunt for mono red vampire aggro, if you're doing it right with cards like this your opponent will die first, regardless of the creatures he/she's swinging at you. 1/1 counters are freakin' exponential in this set.

My favorite card of the set. Powerful and cheap to cast, but removable and requires hitting the player to be really scary, so it's not something overwhelming. Even a 1/2 stops her at first, but once she does manage to get a hit the damage increase rapidly.
Here's the quick math.
1st attack- 3 damage, 3/3
2nd attack- 7 damage, 5/5
3rd attack- 11 damage, 7/7
Total- 21 damage
+4 damage and +2/+2 each time she hits the player is not bad, considering you'd be using red (and likely black) to blast away any creatures in her path.
