There are how many oversized rampant merchant labor force animals in this set? 4?

Well, it works with Doran, I guess.

Still, while it is limited fodder, it's stats are somewhat dismal.

It's fine in drafts, giving a total of four power when attacking, and the untap ability can be useful too. Outside limited though it's unplayable.

Edit: It gives toughness? I misread that. That makes this card even worse. T_T

Flavorful ability for a mount: It taps to attack, but its rider doesn't.
I wonder if this evolved from an Oathsworn Giant reprint.
Close relative to Burrenton Shield-Bearers.
I love white's variety of simplified banding effects.

"I'm seeing a trend here towards overcosted creatures..."

No, you're not. Overcosted cards have always existed in every set ever. Why? So that limited can actually work.

For some reason people always *** about cards without thinking about the fact that not every card can be amazing.

I'm seeing a trend here towards overcosted creatures...

Regardless, the art is hilarious. Reminds me of a big dog trying to sniff a passing hound.

I'm really enjoying the non-guild affiliated cards and the flavor behind them but what deck on Earth wants to take advantage of this creature? Heartless Summoning...?

Doom_Lich: Design-wise, you're spot-on. Creative-wise, though, Ravnica appears to be a setting just a little more friendly to produce cards like these that somehow stand out anyway, as opposed to being forgotten in the rest of the Limited pile. See the Top Comment?

I, personally, just for fun, wish to cast "Overrun" with one of these out. Just because 'meh, I want to have a variety of creatures out when I Overrun, and he looks cool :) "

Pros like me will make great use of this card because us pros think ahead. We will attack but also set up a blocker to defend.

@Majinara This creature doesn't give power, it gives toughness.
