It chases it's prey? Indriks always seemed like herbivores to me.

So this gets Reach and not Golgari Longlegs?
My grasp on flavor is slowly receding.

You thought you could fool me, Giant Spider? Sneaking into Ravnica disguised as a giant prehistoric rhinoceros? I can see right through your dubious ruse!

Actually, this fills a much needed slot in beast tribal and is a cool nod to Indrik Stomphowler.

Hello Giant Spider. Didn't expect you to drop by. You should have said something, we could have prepared a proper welcoming party.

In case you want to play 8 Giant Spider's in a deck?
HA! No...
But seriously, i'm not exactly sure why Giant Spider couldn't have been reprinted. It wasn't printed in M13, so it's not like WotC was appeasing to the haters of Fling and Angel's Mercy for printing a card in a block adjacent to the core set it was in.
Not only that, but as we see, spider's exist in Ravnica.
Again, where's Giant Spider?

Well, Giant Spider returns. Always useful in Limited, not much outside of that, but it has its niche.

Guys, was it really necessary to strike Giant Spider from his long running stint in the core sets just for THIS?
No. No it was not. That was a terrible idea and you should be ashamed.

Dear WotC:
Giant Spider is a great card. TBH, I would rather play it over Hill Giant any day (though I like the big vanilla giant well enough too). Thanks for bringing this Limited jobber back.
Yours truly,
Magnor
