Hope I get to get some for my modern izzetron deck. I wonder if any new versions of decks that were popular in the first Ravnica be made again with Return of the Ravnica out in modern?

The art on this version is just so colorful and vibrant compared to the drab, dull art on the Guildpact version. Also this one has flavor text, which happens to fit the Izzet perfectly. I pretty much had to replace all my original copies with this version, even if the older ones are worth more.

The only Reprinted ShockLand (so far) whose New Art I like better than its Old Art. This might change with Orzhov come Gatecrash, but that's the only competitor I see.
Ironically, I like Izzet Guildgate's art EVEN more than THIS one. In a very strange twist of fate, the order that I like Izzet Arts is almost exactly opposite of how it is with all other guilds for me:
#1. Gate (usually I rank Gates #2)
#2. New Shock (usually I rank New Shocks #3)
#3. Karoo (usually I rank Karoos #4)
#3. Old Shock (usually I rank Old Shocks #1)
It's really close for the Old Ravnica block lands, so I'll grant them a tie.
Zendikar Lands got Full-Art treatments which were cool and stuff, but I would trade someone 40 Alpha Dual Lands, BGS 10, in exchange for 40 Foil Full-Art treatments of the Old Shock arts, Moderately Played and Extremely Loved. Heck I'd trade 40 Underground Seas for 40 Full Art Ravnica Lands. If I had 40 Underground Seas. Which I don't. >.>

pretty sure theyre already dubbed shock lands and have been for quite some time. very glad to see them reprint the core lands for modern even if i already have mine (i like the original art on most of them better though, rob alexander is a landscape god)
