Uh... You could possibly use this with Reality Twist/Naked Singularity.
No, think about it. You have Snow-covered Islands, but they now produce {G}. However, Snowfall makes them produce {G}{U}{U}, and you can pump that into the Naked Singularity and ply some colorless cards.
Reality Twist works far better, of course, due to the fact that it's blue. Power Conduit or possibly Clockspinning can deal with the brutal mana ramping.

Yo dawg we heard you like cumulative upkeeps, so we put a mana engine in your cumulative upkeep card so you can pay cumulative upkeeps while you pay for cumulative upkeep!

Why so much hate for this card? It had a niche, one that it served well. Sure, you'd rather have a Braid of fire especially now that there's no mana burn. However back in the '90s this card was serviceable towards the c-upkeep mechanic. 3 Stars within its context.

I just don't like how all it does really is help pay for itself.

It was horrendous counting with two other CUK cards & both types of islands in play.

Funny card. Pretty much useless.
