That definitely explains his low opinion of Zendikari vampires.

@Mode: Sorin sees Zendikar vampires as gluttons (see Feast of Blood) who are too motivated by hunger. To be fair, he seems to also have a pretty low opinion of Innistrad vampires (Bloodflow Connoisseur), so maybe he's just kind of anti-vampire all around, despite being one himself.

if it were 1BB, with the same ability, would be standard playable?

Tormented Soul may as well have been a vampire spirit considering how many times I've seen this onto it in limited.

It was good to me during the prerelease. Slapped it on a Duskdale Wurm, swung, and then played Fungal Sprouting during main phase 2. Decent in limited, pretty bad elsewhere.

this and my tormented soul + exalted stuff helped me win the pre-release. it takes some time to set up, but you quickly get back your life lost during the first 3 turns.

I am a pro and would consider playing this on most of my creatures. It is that good.

Want to see how this is supposed to function? Vampiric Embrace, and that card isn't even that good.

Will this be in any constructed format? Of course not. Not unless it was constructed by an 8 year old. That's not what the card was designed for. The fact of the matter is, this is a bomb in limited. Slap it on a Bloodunter Bat and see if that game doesn't end quickly. Throw in some exalted and your opponent will probably concede. I don't wanna be on the other side of this when I'm drafting. It's pretty much a "most answer me" card if you have it on anything over 2 starting power.
