Always loved the Coleridge flavor text here. One of my favorite writers, and one of my favorite works by him. And also, scathe zombies are pretty sweet.

They shoul print Samuel Coleridge, the Ancient Mariner as a useless, overcost, vanilla blue Legendary Pirate with great flavor text.

Well, it's strictly better than Mindless Null at least. And i've seen that one played too. A vanilla creature can be useful for limited at least, since it fills up your curve in a pinch. Since this is usually a core set card that is less relevant, and I don't think the Null would have gotten any play outside of the fast limited format of Zedikar. I'm sure this will never be constructed material for any kind of deck, but some creatures are just vanilla.

"usefull?"
The second syllable of this word seems pretty wrong to me, seeing that a vanilla 2/2 three-drop can not in the least be full of uses in any constructed deck imaginable.

@Mode: You have a point, but surely, you have not forgotten about cards such as Muraganda Petroglyghs, have you? Anyways, it's Scathe Zombies. You don't put them in a deck to be useful, you put them in a deck for them to be zombie-y and to show of their awesome flavour text.
