A pretty solid ramp creature for an era of the game where mana ramp wasn't as prominent. Probably was used to power out a turn 3 Force of Nature, back in the day, along with Llanowar Elves.

It's decent, but there are so many better choices for elves nowadays. Llanowar Elves, Fyndhorn Elves, and Priest of Titania will fill mana acceleration slots well enough.
