Except that this can take your opponent's entire attack and smack them in the face with it. then untap and attack on your next turn for the finish.

Sure this card may seem fun, but Swerve spells complete the same objective with less mana investment and a greater range of versatility.

swerve is new. this was awesome back in the day. nowadays people will just use boros fury shield (though this one is also non-combat damage)

Swerve needs blue, this doesn't, big thing with this guy is that it's amazing in multi-player games. If someone is being ignored or they have a nasty critter that's sitting there doing mean things, use this when a different opponent attacks and redirect the damage where YOU want it :D

@SavageBrain89 Swerve has less applications. You can't redirect combat damage with Swerve. Also with red/white you get double cleave for the next turn after they alpha strike.
