Dragonmaster, if rumors prove to be true, you're in luck. A highly reliable (albeit unconfirmed) source has stated that we're going back to the greatest plane of all. Ravnica. That'll be the block after Innistrad.
EDIT: Reading about Izzet, it's mechanic articles says "So even though the costs are all the same this time around, the door is open for significant tweaking when we inevitably return to this mechanic." Note that this is talking about Replicate. A horror block (Innistrad) had been in their minds for about ten years, so they may have planned to return to Ravnica when they first made it. Of course, the Guildpact fell, but in "Agents of Artifice," it's shown that past ties to guilds still matter.
EDIT AGAIN: Yeah, Izzet sure are cool. Plus they make "Weird"s.

I think that after M13, we really do deserve a revisit of one of the best planes ever: Ravnica. 4 stars for Izzet-ness and fun factor.
Oh, and by the way, NeoKoda,I am thanking you beyond words right now. Now that the Return to Ravnica block has been announced, I look forward to playing spells from a plane I started playing too late to experience. Izzet spells are incredibly fun and useful. And who knows, we might even get a planeswalker card of Niv-Mizzet himself. Izzet spells making a return will give me some fun times in Standard.

Weak-ish even if you can cast it with red. Wouldn't you usually rather have a 3/4 for 4? There are far better targets for re-boomeranging things.
