Best of the volvers. WotC should bring back the Volver type sometime.

not terrible, but at 6 cmc, i don't think 4/4 is good enough. and those are colors i rarely seen run together. black white, yeah, but black green and white green are a lot rarer it seems

Probably the second best of the 5 "Volvers". Rakavolver (red, 5/5 Flying, Lifelink) is marginally better. Was a very good creature for a 5 color deck as it doesn't require 2 of any single mana to cast it. Some newer creatures might finally be trumping it.

Back in the days, creatures that provide a ten-life swing each turn were pretty rare! :) Baneslayer Angel, I'm looking at you.. However, black has better ways of spending the five or three points of life you get each turn, don't you think?

Lifelink creatures still gain you life when they deal noncombat damage. The real difference between the two is that Lifelink happens without a chance to respond, and this version happens as a trigger on the stack that can be responded to. It can therefore stack with the same ability twice on a creature (two Spirit Links on one creature)

Its 3GWB for 5/5 trample and whenever it does damage it nets you life (not the same as Lifelink for all you new players thank you very much). If you use an arena style card on this with full kickers you will gain life unlike Lifelinked creatures
Rakavolver is slightly better cos it has evasion and in the colours with direct damage and counterspells
Edit: Thanks Kryptnyt for the correction. I had always confused lifelink (controller gains life) and this type of 'spirit link'

I'd say this card has good kicker abilities and if you chose the awesome cheap cost one it would be a 4/4 trample. If you chose the other REALLY cheap one, it would be a 3/3 lifelink. You choose they are both great abilities. Also if you can't afford those just choose the 2/2 option.
