a 3/3 flying for 4 isn't bad, a 4/4 lifelink for 5 is ok (changeling hero), and a 5/5 with flying and lifelink for 6 is solid. The potential to be any of them when you can pay 4, 5, or 6 is pretty cool. Probably the best volver.

Definitely the best of the 5 volvers, beating out Necravolver by a smidge. A good creature in a 5 color deck since it doesn't require multiples of any one color.

Correct me if I'm wrong right now, but wasn't this the first creature that provided a ten-life swing each turn? That makes me think that the six-mana option compares quite favorably to Numot, The Devastator! :) And that's only one of four not-so-bad options..

People are also missing that its a 4 mana 3/3 flier. Also a solid option. A lot of people are saying its a 5 mana 4/4 flying lifelink. For five mana you get a 4/4 lifelinker. If you want flying, you have to pay 6 and it'll be a 5/5.

Interesting that the volvers weren't errata'd to use lifelink. Any method of giving it to this creature would give a nice double-lifelink. Loxodon Warhammer for a 8/5 flying, trample, double-lifelink, anyone?

Red Baneslayer. I think I'll pick up a copy for my Numot EDH to go next to Lightning Angel. Or, I could just get a Baneslayer for 10 bucks and not feel like an idiot. Ah what the hell, I'll just get both.
