I don't share the opinion of the guy saying that the regeneration ability is useless. I prefer creatures that cost me life or whatever to regenerate at all times over those, that require mana. Simply because playing a regenerator without beeing able to regenerate it is just asking for trouble. Having this guy cost 7 and cost life to regenerate, is far more powerful than having it cost 7 and beeing forced to keep additional mana open.
I think this is one of the best volvers. It is large, hard to kill and has evasion.

A 6/6 flyer for 7 mana is a pretty good deal, but not great, and the regenerating ability is kind of useless. 3 life is a pretty substantial amount, there aren't a lot of things that are going to kill a 6/6 with damage, and most removal spells bypass regeneration. The 5/5 flyer for 6 that you get if you just pay the blue kicker is also pretty good. Rakavolver is far superior though.
As for the awkward color costs, you can run this and Necravolver in a green/black or a green/blue deck as long as you just have a couple of Fertile Grounds.
