This guy wishes he was Blind Hunter.
This is why I'm getting irritated at seeing all these splashable monocolored functional/near-functional reprints of multicolored cards.
Multicolor should = more rewarding, because multicolor = harder to cast in most decks, and more restricted to which decks they can be used in.
At least in this instance, that's still sort of the case, thankfully.

I guess playable in limited (which means "crappy everwhere else"). And despite beeing reanimatable, unlike blind hunter, the hunter is still better.

If I wasn't already running Blind Hunter in my cube, I might have made room for this. But then again, the 4-drop slot in black already has plenty of other creatures that make more of an impact on the board.

This card is better than it looks. The ETB drain on this respectable evader is usually relevant.
Eminently playable in non-competitive decks. Solid 3/5

Give it lifelink and you've got yourself a 5/5 easy.
Still, a 4 life swing for entering the battlefield and flying is no laughing matter. 3.5/5.

@Eternal_Blue
This guy actually does have some advantages over Blind Hunter. The main two are that 1. it can be played in any black deck as opposed to just black/white, and 2. it doesn't get exiled when it dies. This means that it can be brought back in black/blue with Dreams of the Dead for more life drain (at instant speed). People should use Bloodhunter Bat based on its niches instead of just comparing it to Blind Hunter which is a very different card.
