Perfect art.. this is exactly the face my opponent makes when I make them discard a planeswalker.

4.5 rating. Was going to go 3.5 until I realized the potential for getting rid of Planeswalkers. Can't imagine the frustration one might feel seeing their best play dismantled for one mana. Also very nice against control decks. Did I mention it costs one mana?

Although it's nice this came back, I think the best set it was in was 2011. In fact, out of all the 20XX core sets, this is the worst placement of this card. (standard-speaking)
Think about it: Liliana's Caress was in 2011, and Megrim was in 2010. In 2011, Jace, the Mind Sculptor was wreaking havoc, and this could've stopped him before they got a chance.
Not only that, but Snapcaster Mage is in Innistrad, meaning that discarding an instant/sorcery isn't always the best choice.
I think the current 4.2 rating (versus 4.4 (2011) and 4.3 (2010) is righteous. It is still one of the most fair 1-cost discard spells in the game, and I'm not saying it's a bad card. It's just doesn't fit as well.

A legend returns. Unfortunately, it won't be as good as it was but it's still a very nice tool for black decks to have nowadays (it grabs planeswalkers!).

It's cards like this that make me realize I'm a terrible person, because the art makes me smile.

Very nice to have this back. Sadly, Snapcaster is still a card and can just get back when you take. Still, this is see play like it always does.
