Wow.
This is replacing Rebuff the Wicked in my decks.
Rebuff the Wicked was preferred over other similar cards because it did any permanent. However, it is weak to enter the battlefield effects.

While this is rated lower than Rebuff the Wicked, it is just better in many ways.
1: The fateful hour clause.
2: Protects from combat damage.
3: Can make things unblockable.
4. Can remove harmful auras that are already enchanting your permanents.
5. Counters abilities (abilities have the color(s) of their source, right?)
In addition to acting as a counterspell on anything Rebuff the Wicked can, except Ghostfire and spells that target more than one permanent. I would say the benefits outweigh the cons. 4/5.

You need this thing if your deck relies on Fateful Hour, just in case a goblin is flying at your head.

It's like Apostle's Blessing except you can target any permanent you have, and the Fateful Hour effect is absolutely amazing, too.

Every set has a card that gives your guys protection and this is easily one of the better ones.
Also, giving yourself protection is very helpful, what with all that burn flying around.

Extremely powerful, and I thought I'd never find an adequate replacement for Apostle's Blessing. 5/5...
That's 4/5 for being a great card and an extra 1 for having Champion of the Parish in the art.

Those creatures in the reflection... Either their identity was meant to be left ambiguous, or there has been some very freaky sex going on in Innistrad.
Surely, though, there must be a lycanthropic vampire somewhere, unless they all went extinct when they couldn't decide whether to drink the blood or splatter it everywhere.
