This card right here, and all Fateful Hour cards, such as Thraben Doomsayer, combo exceptionally well with Form of the Dragon, if you can pull it off.

I started running this with Quirion Dryad, just to see if they'd work well together. First off, it does. Really, really well. Second, this card's Fateful Hour ability has subsequently saved me COUNTLESS time against mono-red. Let them send in all creatures, probably with a Hellrider in tow. They knock you down to below 5 life, then try to finish you off with a Searing Spear. Respond with Shield, untap, swing for the win. It seems a little convoluted, but with RDW sooooooo popular right now, this has happened for me numerous times. And add in Snapcaster Mage?
This is an amazing card.

This is definitely my favorite Fateful Hour card. Even the regular effect of protecting any one permanent for one mana is pretty sweet, but the Fateful Hour is usually a game winner if i have a decent board.

I will hereby proclaim my undying love for this card.
In my deck, you are my panic button. You are also my win button. I love you, Faith's Shield.
