I like what they did with the "when they transform". Too bad there aren't going to be any more for a while... D:

Artifact death deck w/ Liquimetal Coating?
Plausible. Good card, none the less.

When Wizards first showed this art I though it was going to be used for a Werewolf lord or a mythic one, because the thing looks so badass and filled with rage.
I like ThisisSakon's Liquimetal Coating idea, but this dude's probably too slow and frail for a deck like that to work. Manic Vandal is probably a more solid choice (albeit one time).

This is what Werewolves should have been doing the entire time. Etb/flip triggers, and yet we only have two of them. The worst part about Dark Ascension is that it's filling in necessary parts that should have been in Innestrad. I get the whole part about "monsters getting evil-er" but making cards that you should have had in the first set to begin with is not a step in the right direction.

I wonder if it'd even by playable if it destroyed ALL artifacts when it flipped, and each one did three damage.
At least that way, instead of having an over-costed 3/2 that usually does nothing, you'd have an over-costed 3/2 that usually does nothing but occasionally gives you a blow-out.

I'm currently building a Werewolf deck, so this guy would certainly be nice to have, but I'm not planning on him being in the main deck or even the sideboard: I want a copy of this card solely for the Werewolf side art. I'm not sure what other art David Palumbo has done, but I daresay this is his finest.

Afflicted Deserter. In case Wizards never integrates the comments on the 2 cards.
