Very strong. Aggro decks NEED haste to be any good.

This is like Giant Solifuge, one of my favorite cards back then! Hasty 4/1, even better evasion, and just as hard to kill. Too bad it's a mythic...

@Gabriel422 haha that's what I thought of when I first saw her. She's a BR Giant Solifuge, but probably a little better since she flies and can protect herself without using mana (not to mention the sacrifice outlet shenanigans). Also vampires being a tribe and all that. My bro and I pulled one of her in a box, but didn't have a deck to put her in and ended up trading it :(

This card is Tier 1. definitely. 4/1 haste for 4 mana, even without survivabiity, would have once broken the power curve, and is still an enormous threat. And the indestructibiliy bonus is the kind of ability that lets you laugh off sweepers, removing from your mind the question whether an opponent is holding one. If no sweeper has gone off yet, your board is full, and you can cast this without losing it. If a sweeper has gone off, you're safe to play your hastie. On top of what it is as a creature, you have a terriffic sac outlet, which a lot of flavors of black can make use of in itself.
One mistake people are making when evaluating the strength of this card is reading the "human" clause too strongly. You don't have to play humans with this card. In fact, you should definitely play vamps insetad, with cards like Bloodghast and Kalastria Highborn. WIthout any humans at all, you still have a virtually indestructible 4/1 flying, haste. I'd imagine the "sacrifice a human" claus... (see all)

DISCLAIMER: THE PROS PLAY THIS WITHOUT ANY HUMANS IN THIER DECK
the true value of this is that the ability doesnt require a human for the idestutibility making this preaty hard to kill; spot removal twords this guy means you can sack a lesser guy instead, same with mass removal, some thing like vapor snag isnt that bad because this has haste. the only things that can remove this when you have other creatures are -1/-1's and exiling both of wich are faily uncomon in standard right now.
in my opinion, this is the sleeper hit of DKA

seems awesome. I got it in my prerelease pool, but unfortunately I never drew it. I had a vampire theme and everything. I like the idea of this card + stealy effects with other aggro vampires as a deck.

Why is this card so expensive? Olivia Voldaren is way better in my opinion

Stromkirk Captain turns this card into an absolute terror. Understand that the Human Sacrifice element of this card is purely an extra, don't get too hung up on it.

reminds me of ball lightning for some reason...
personally I like to think of the +1/+1 counter as a small potential bonus; I would run in a red/black commander deck as a sacrifice engine, along with other sac outlets (which I recognize could be better)
commander would be Lyzolda, the Blood Witch
this deck would love grave pact, and potentially similar cards

Looks like Vampires are making a comeback! My only problem is that there aren't too many humans in these colors though.
