It really speaks volumes about the power creep of Magic when a 5/4 undying creature with vigilance and trample for 5 CMC isn't good enough for the metagame it's in. It's one of the best green creatures there is, but it came out at the same time Primeval Titan was legal, and then Wolfir Silverheart and Thragtusk came along.
Man, it sucks to be a vorapede.

How is this rated so low? It is one of mono-green's best 5-drops, including Wolfir Silverheart. The triple green makes this hard to play in a lot of decks, but in mono-green that doesn't matter. It is green's Baneslayer, and deserves to be mythic as much as BS angel does. Yeah its not as powerful as BS Angel, but it shouldn't be because BS was too powerful. This is a great card, and one of undying's poster children.

Only knock is that the price is a little Green-heavy in non-mono decks but if you get past that...wow

Like I said if you're ok with the mana cost, it beat out Thragtusk. A 5/4 Vigilance Trample that comes back as 6/5 Vigilance Trample > a 5/3 that comes back as 3/3

What this is, its a green baneslayer angel. But they toned it down because of all the complaints, or because wotc favors white who knows.
