In contrast wo what the other comment here says: this girl is now an elf. Still doesn't buff herself, but now at least works with other cards that have to do with elves.

Honestly, the fact that Elvish Champion gives the bonus to your opponents' elves doesn't matter. If they have elves, it probably means that they have forests, which in turn means that all of your guys are unblockable, and that you're swinging for the win the turn this comes down.
