@Manaburnwasgood: Didgeridoo is a good way of wasting what really makes this card good as you wouldn't get its cascade ability, since cascade specifically reads "when you cast this spell" and Didgeridoo doesn't cast spells, it puts them into play, which is different.

Trygon_Predator, E-HS (sounds like a high school) plays well with Animar, but Animar does not affect Aluren's check for cmc:

10/4/2004 Aluren checks the actual printed cost on the creature card, and is not affected by things which allow you to cast the spell for less

You really want to have fun with this guy and Animar, get your Dream Halls out and proceed to bounce, Cascade, bounce, Cascade (Then do it again.)

This has got to be the Johnnyest card in this set.Offhand, I can see this minotaur playing nicely with Animar, Soul of Elements. With the right amount of counters on Animar, you can play the minotaur for BlueRed, cascade, and then bounce for another go. If you've already got Aluren in play, shenanigans will happen.
Good to see Minotaurs getting some love too, and it seems like they could be good contenders for a BlueRed or RedBlueWhite tribe (see also Zedruu the Greathearted, Minotaur Illusionist, and Raka Disciple).
Finally, the flavor is excellent too. Looks like the Naya minotaurs have been learning a few tricks from Esper.

I just love how happy and excited he looks. He knows he's about to cause some chaos.
It's great they brought back cascade in this set, really fun mechanic.

@nirvava

the "as though it were just summoned" clause on Didgeridoo's printed text refers to the fact that the Minotaur is summoning sick which needed to be clarified when the card was first printed in homelands. This was dropped because this type of interaction has become more common. Didgeridoo never caused the Minotaur to be cast. a fact made clear in the original text by the phrase "put it directly into play" showing the Minotaur it self never goes on the stack.

So the errata text is just a simplification of the original text and in no way "screwed up the original intention of the artifact"

I'm sure he must have one hell of a story...

The Vedalken never struck me as the type to think much of Minotaurs... Especially the Esperites!

I love LOVE all the flavor bleed they're running in Planechase 2012, specifically how the shards of alara are blending together.
