Basically if it's got 4 legs and doesn't quite look like anything in particular, it's a Kavu.

He's actually not even that bad, given that you can target both either your lands for some color fixes or an opponent's lands to enable landwalkers a free path.
And i also like the flavor behind his name and ability.

It took me way, way, too long to figure this out that Tundra Kavu, Slimy Kavu, and Kavu Recluse were supposed to be Domain enablers. Since all of those are red, there's no mountain-making Kavu. And, given that Kavu Scout is the only kavu with a Domain ability, I don't think it's going to be real useful in a tribal deck.
I guess they decided white and blue were the least likely colors to fit into a Kavu deck, so they put both island- and plains-making on this guy. I'm not sure that's the best way to pack all four of these abilities onto a few Kavu, but I do agree that there's not enough room in a set for four of essentially the same thing. I'm not entirely sure I would have bothered with three.
