I believe this card was referred to as "the grandaddy of all reanimator targets" but it's so much more. This is like a grandaddy fatty from way back. It was so easy to pump him out real early and start building up a saproling army, only growing more and more outrageous in multiples. Not like you needed all that. Overrun for the win. Or just a perfect defense of endless weenie chump blockers. And if you should drop a coat of arms... Jeeezus! It is crazy in multi-player as well. This is an absolute beast of a green card. Well ahead of its time and still being played to this day.

fun fun card and one of the best creatures for green and token pump there is. 7 mana really isn't all that hard to do with green - especially when the color has a plethora of time-buyers like tangle, fog, fog patch, respite, moment's peace, spore frog... and so many uses. reanimation decks and polymorph decks love to use him, saproling decks make him a stand-by most of the time... even more crazy now days with powerhouse cards like doubling season in the mix. my personal use for this guy is in my g/b deck where he just simply owns.
