This guy, hypnox, and Mesmeric Fiend always made the Nightmare Horror creature type iconic for me.

I decided to stick this guy in the Counterpunch EDH deck. Gonna see how well it works with Karador, Ghost Chieftain and a sac engine. Did the same with Terastodon. I don't think I'm going to be making any friends any time soon.

"uh, hi guise, I lost my face. Can I borrow yours for a bit? You'll get it back in ...fine condition, yeah. Good. Greaaat. I promise!"

this could probably be confused for an Eldrazi by a resident of Zendikar. 'Nightmare Horror' seems Lovecraftian.

This is the black Journey to Nowhere. And it's also a creature...

Fiend Hunter is the white this.

play him, respond to his ETB trigger with a Go for the Throat, targeting him. Congratz, you just permanently exiled a creature. perhaps a bit costly, and losing you card advantage, but still removal. In addition, similarly to Oblivion ring, infinite loop if you manage to play 3 of these at once.

Costs 1 more than fiend hunter, but exiling in black is rare enough that this may be worth it. Sad to think they will never print this effect again (they decided its interaction with bounce/removal was dumb and started printing things like banisher priest instead).

Gatherer works better in the Companion app!
