Works wonders with Didgeridoo. I'm gonna have to get a couple of these guys.

yeah, he's not so impressive in limited, but we don't all play that, and i think wotc throws out the occasional spell like this for the type 1 set to enjoy. a sol ring and a didgeridoo would mean a 6/2 first strike attacking in turn 2, and that would be enough to scare the sht out of any friends/family you're up against. what's more, a didge would mean that any mid-game attacks could be instantly stifled by pulling this guy out for a mere 3 mana. not so bad...

I cringe when I see cards this over-costed. Just really gross at seven mana. It makes the card seem disproportionately undesirable, even if there's an argument to be made for limited viability (which frankly, isn't very compelling).

Yuck. Another off-the-wall combination of power and toughness on a card with a casting cost straight out of Legends or Ice Age. Sure, there have been worse cards, and at least this thing will probably deal some damage before dying a stupid death, but it is still terrible.

Guys, think about it! He can win you the game after an overloaded Cyclonic Rift! It's a two card combo for 14 mana! What could possibly go wrong?
Ok yeah this is bad. Though if you can find a way to give him trample I can see him being amazing, but there are better things to use your Rancor on.

Non-pros are not noticing that this creature has first strike and haste. Pros like me realize that this guy can easily be either 6 damage to the face or the death of an opponent's favorite creature.

Expensive as all hell, but 6 hasty first strike-y power is kinda neat.
Almost all of the guildless cards are sadly crap, though. At 7 mana, we should be getting...I don't even know what. Something more than this though. I mean, for christ's sake, he costs less than Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius.

I'd take this guy early in limited. A nice, flexible bomb creature. You don't commit to two colors immediately, you could end up UR, or BR, depending on what comes to you. And in almost every case this guy meets the necessary condition for a bomb: he needs to be dealt with as soon as he hits the table. Too costly for constructed, but a quality limited uncommon bomb.

Meh the only way this guy is at all playable is after you have rakdos, lord of riots in play... If you could deal 4 dmg before your attack phase, open up their field with no blockers then play this guy, thats 12 dmg from creatures alone, not to mention the paincast damage you used to make this stupid card playable!
Bah, what a waste of an uncommon slot wizards. No 7 CMC card should die to a shock... Just, ew...

this guy is pretty good is limited or I think it will be. Besides how often do we get a semi-playable minotaur?
