I understand that the set hasn't been released yet, but still, why isn't this at LEAST 4?
4 cmc 5/5, that's ABOVE the curve.
This creature's also useful while dead, and 6 mana to put 5 +1/+1 counters on a creature is a pretty good deal, I might add.

I'm not gonna do demographics or anything around here, but the first ratings on this card are probably from haters, spoiled people or elitist spikes.
This is a GOOD card and deserves more than this current score (3.756 at 10/04/12, the day before official release)

5/5 for 4 with a useful ability after it dies. Yeah, this will be a very high pick in draft.

Could be summoned early and provide killer bonus late game, it's great.

The scavenge is potentially game-ending if you load it on to your Rancor target for an alpha strike. Why were they on low health to begin with? Why, because you hit them with this thing Rancor'd up first!

Corpsejack Menace will use this guy to pump Daggerdrome Imp to great levels. 4.5/5

Undercosted Scavenge and CC on a giant beetle. How could you not love this card?

This card is good, very good. It has no drawbacs, only benefits and could be playd in a variety of decs.

I searched for 5/5's that cost 4. This and Spellbreaker Behemoth are the ONLY ones that have NO drawback and don't require you to Champion something. This not only fits those parameters, it also has crazy mid-late game value with Scavenge.
I don't get why this is only rated around 4 right now and hardly played in Standard at all. You'd play a 2/2 for one (Diregraf Ghoul), a 3/3 for two (Call of the Conclave) and a 4/4 for three (Loxodon Smiter), so why not a 5/5 for four?

My guess on the below-4 rating is because - mainly in Standard Constructed, this doesn't necessarily do a lot for the 'game state' or 'board position' upon being cast or upon resolving. Now, I'm not one to knock a 5/5 for 4 (clearly efficient), and it's got a Flashback of sorts for a dose of eventual card advantage; but the fact of the matter is that, even considering the Scavenge, this card won't do an incredible amount to alter the position of the game in competitive Constructed.
Contrast this card with the similarly-costed Day of Judgment or Sleep, in terms of game-state change.
