Many of the other hybrid mana "color lords" give some sort of ability or have a good ability. This card just flies for four mana. :\ A 2/3 flier isn't that good and it's only when you have multiples of this in play is it any good.

Yeah, the ability is not nearly as exciting as some of the others, but look at the typing. If you are playing faeries right, this should be a huge boost. Notice that the kithkin liege also has a less impressive ability (flash is awesome, but it is not as good as furnace of rath) These two were in typing/colors that were designed to get out lots of creatures, therefore, would have been unbalanced with the rest if it had as powerful of an ability
