You apparently forget that Darkness is even older than this card, Haatweels.
People apparently seem to forget that those Foglike effects also affect your own creatures, while this card doesn't. This way you could for example cast it on the attacking creature and block it with a bunch of yours - which will stay unharmed - to death.
In most cases using Holy Day is still more advisable of course, but it's not strictly better than this card.

I'm with Mode on this one. Almost like a one-sided one-time maze...I don't know why people aren't seeing that. Destroy their creature with combat damage, and not take any on your own? That's not bad for one mana. I'd say it's on par with holy day, for its own reasons.

This card definitely shows how far magic has come
Holy day has the price for so much more.

This card has been obsoleted so many times that it's a joke to take it seriously now.
RATING: 0.5/5
@Bibblesbun: Yeah, you'll never take combat damage from ONE creature of your choice per turn again.

Now this is a card that has seen ALOT of play from white decks, put it on a septer, and never take combat damage ever again.
