At least it gives a black deck the chance to destroy enchantments while staying mostly in one color.

Yeah, build a black-green Zombie deck with this and Strength of Night.
PS: Putrid Leech and Vulturous Zombie are green Zombies too.

This could've been nice SB material for MB if not for the G in the activated ability.

Yeah, it's no Qasali Pridemage, but it gets the job done! :) If there are targets, it's my favourite sacrifice outlet for Worm Harvest creature tokens.. Savra, Queen Of The Golgari likes this card, too! :) Many golgari sacrifice outlets aren't very effective, but this one can be very good..

OverfiendSurprise; have you never played D&D? A decent portion of liches are Druids that gave up their mortal bodies to continue watching over the forests they protect. It's not exactly a perfect explaination, but not every druid is true to it's cause without fault.

Was playing Tribal with a friend the other day. I was birds, and he was zombies. I dropped an Island Sanctuary next to my Howling Mine and figured it was game over. His turn he dropped one of these. I still won, but just barely. Never underestimate off color abilities. Great card.
