It clearly says on all versions of the Basilisk it can't affect walls. This plows them.

Again, this card's wording is identical to the wording of the 4th edition Thicket Basilisk; they should have the same oracle text for their ability. It should not be changed.

I agree with Titantium Dragon. The card's updated (9/3/09) Oracle wording, while retaining the printed wording of the card from 1994, does not function under 2009 rules as the card originally did in 1994. To maintain original functionality, it should revert to its pre-9/3/09 wording, which is the same as that of Thicket Basilisk (which still functions correctly thanks to having been reprinted in 5th Ed.). I sent Gottlieb an email about this, so hopefully he will change it back.

For being multi-colored and the same CMC, it really should have been significantly better than Thicket Basilisk. Maybe give it first strike and change the ability to "when it damages a creature".

10/1/2009 Kjeldoran Frostbeast's ability triggers only if it's still on the battlefield when the end of combat step begins (after the combat damage step). For example, if it blocks a 7/7 creature and is destroyed, its ability won't trigger at all. The 7/7 will remain on the battlefield.
10/1/2009 Its ability will destroy all creatures it's currently blocking or blocked by, not necessarily the creatures it had blocked or become blocked by during that combat phase. For example, if Kjeldoran Frostbeast is dealt lethal combat damage and regenerates, it's removed from combat. Its ability will trigger at end of combat, but since it's no longer blocking or blocked by any creatures, the ability won't do anything.
These rulings are depressing and ruin this card. It was clearly meant to function the same as Thicket Basilisk when Ice Age went to print. It requires 2 different colored mana rather than only 1 so its perk was to not have the wall restriction. As mentioned by others,... (see all)

Yes, there is that difference, but what Titanium_Dragon and Chrysologus ment that Thicket Basilisk is Oracle worded so that no matter what happens to it, the blockers or blockeds are destroyed in the end of the combat. This is worded so that it has to survive to affect the blockers etc.
That's wrong as both this and 4th ed Thicket Basilisk are worded the same, except for the non-wall part, which doesn't matter.
