If I want to murder counterspells I think I'll just play City of Solitude that way they can'ty counter thing as opposed to them being sorta hindered for it. Less to cast too.

Significantly worse after the elimination of mana burn, but it still mean no Islands being tapped during your own turn.

The number of non island Blue producers as so vast today that this doesn't work anymore.

Pales in comparison to Karma, but still not entirely bad... against mono blue, anyway. If they are playing all islands, its a one sided Mana Barbs.
Boil, on the other hand, quite fun! Choke even more so!
